About:

Saviors Sorrow is a visual novel made for a class project. Our game is an occult mystery inspired by King Lear based in Delhi in a far future utopia.

We discuss the motif of family abandonment in King Lear, but ultimately focused on the tragedies of King Lear, such as despair and betrayal, instead. We feel this would fit better with our occult mystery theme.

We used the idea of a Utopia being a society where everything is peaceful but has a dark underside to it. There are futuristic technologies such as the ability to erase memories and the ability to control the daily lives of people by creating a Utopian society.
